I do not have any major conflicts currently. Some project stakeholders are more difficult to work with than others which can cause some conflict. Often it seems the conflicts are between people instead of ideas. i learned in your elearning program about summarizing the conflict in a sentence which has helped me. It helps me stay focused on the real issue. Also your teaching about not telling stories to myself was very helpful. I do not like conflict but I feel I am getting better at it.
Some of the most frustrating conflict for me is with people on my team and in other departments. I have learned to try and keep my cool even when I have to count far beyond 10.
I agree with the friendly fire comment. Also trying to keep project stakeholders happy takes a lot of time for me. I try to remember and communicate that what they want and what I want is the same: a solution that works for the end customer.
